Exploring Melbourne

We had a bit of a slow start this morning after catching up on missed sleep and after failing to find a rental car at short notice to take us to the Yarra Valley we settled on brunch at a recommended restaurant called Hash and the Melbourne Zoo afterwards.
So Hash, situated in the lanes, has a curious menu including but not limited to this crazy hipster flower porridge that I thought was just too odd not to try. Complete with salted maple syrup, strawberries, apples, grapes grilled banana, blueberries and daisies - I want to make the point that I didn't eat the daisies but the rest was delicious :) - we also drank our iced coffee out of beer bottles which is the perfect way to start the day *Cheers* ! :)

Next stop Melbourne Zoo on the tram, quick and easy and saw loads of creatures (I won't bore you with the specifics just post a couple of my fav pictures from this afternoon, you can make them bigger if you click on them.)

Tonight we had a really nice pub dinner at the Leverson, the fact that they sold ice cold sangria was juts the topping on the cake for me and after massive portion sizes on the chicken parmigiana we were stuffed so waddling back to the hotel in the rain wasn't great fun, but it had eased off considerably before we got back. So, like the photography geeks that we are, we stopped to take a few pictures of the city at night time.
As it's nearly 2am I'm going to call it a night because we have an early start tomorrow for the Great Ocean Road, but what I will leave you with is some of my fav shots from this evening in long exposure! Night all x
